Born and raised right here in Lincoln, Andrew is passionate about helping his community in meaningful, everyday ways.
As our Reception Specialist, he is often the first point of connection at Center for People, welcoming visitors and helping them find whatever information, resources, or direction they need.
He brings a calm, friendly presence to the workplace. Outside of work, he treasures time with his family, especially his two daughters. Around here, he’s also known for one special perk – his mom’s incredible cooking, which she generously shares with CFP staff on occasion.
“I was born and raised in Lincoln, NE. I moved to Dallas in 2019 and decided to move back home in 2023 to raise my daughter here, because I believe Lincoln is an amazing community to raise a family.
I am going to school at SCC to further my degree in Human Services, but that could chance due to other interests I have as well. One thing I love is giving back to the community and serving my community in any way.
A cool fact about me is that, even though I’m right-handed, I am left-footed. Meaning, if I were to play soccer or kickball, I kick with my left leg rather than my right. I also used to live in the foster care system.”
“A movie that inspires me is ‘Remember the Titans’. The reason for that is that it taught me a lot about leadership and overcoming challenges.”
If I could master any skill, it would be to learn to speak every language. I believe that speaking a lot of languages is an amazing benefit for helping the community in any way.”
“Advice was given to me by multiple people is ‘When things are not going my way, or I am going through tough times, continue to keep going positively. Because the negatives are not forever.’
I learned not to hold onto things that can affect me mentally, so I just move on and the next day is a fresh day for me.
