Volunteer

Help us break cycles of poverty in Lincoln!

Volunteering is a powerful way to make a positive impact on people’s lives and to contribute to the greater good of humanity. It offers a unique opportunity to connect with individuals from different backgrounds, cultures, and experiences, and to learn from each other.

By volunteering, you can witness firsthand how your time, skills, and resources can transform someone’s life and bring joy and hope to those who need it most.

Opportunities

We need many kinds of volunteers to support our programs 365 days a year. We welcome both individuals and groups as volunteers at Center for People. Volunteer opportunities range from food and diaper distribution in our People’s Pantry to assisting with special events such as the Fall Food Festival, Toyland, and the People’s Party.

Click the green button above to get started. It’s as simple as creating a profile, then our staff will review your info and you will be able to sign up for volunteer shifts on your own time!

Food and Diaper Distribution

We can always use volunteers to help distribute food and diapers to our Center for People families. Join us once a week or once in a while!

Special Events

Throughout the year, we need short-term volunteers for special events like our Fall Food Festival, our Toyland Gift Drive, the People’s Party, and more.

Follow us on social media for updates regarding when these volunteer opportunities are open.

We love working with volunteer groups! If you’re interested in bringing your group to the Center for People to help with distribution or another group volunteering experience, please contact Joy Bradford at 402.476.4357 or email us at the link below:
