ELL (English Language Learning)

Your Key to Culture

When you’re starting over in a new city, so much depends on being able to communicate – your housing, your job, your social circle. Learning to speak the language can turn an overwhelming experience into a new adventure.

We offer free English Language Learning (ELL) classes for anyone for whom English is not their primary language. New students are tested to identify their skill level, and progress through the program at their own speed. Our instructors are highly skilled and dedicated to teaching English and U.S. cultural literacy.

Classes are held Monday through Friday between 9 a.m. and 11 a.m. and 12 noon to 2 p.m.

Refugee Employee Assistance Program

Many ELL students also take advantage of our Refugee Employee Assistance Program, or  REAP, to gain training, education, and career connections. Interested? Find out more about REAP here.
