“When I came across EduTech, I realized this program can continue my education and get me where I want to be: which is entrepreneurship.
“If you’re looking for new opportunities, if you don’t know where you want to go or what you want to do, I think the Center for People is a good vehicle to find that destination you want to go to.
“I like to make something out of nothing, drawing something cool on a blank piece of paper, turning your life into something better from any situation.
“When I came to the Center, I did not know anything about the English language except a little, and now I see myself developing my English.
Leyla prioritized her education with the help of our POP Scholarship program. Now, she is hard at work in the Progressive Intensive Care Unit at Bryan Health.
After leaving Mexico City, Cesar moved to Lincoln, Nebraska. He wanted to make the new city his home, so he came to Center for People and enrolled in our English Language Learning classes.
Lesa first came to Center for People looking for help getting back on her feet, now she’s the one actively helping us as part of the Soarin Group IT Support team.
“I was 7 or 8 when I first came here with my mom. Coming to Toyland, it didn’t look like struggle. There were kids my age and toys and music.
“With Edutech, Center for People had all the classes I needed: Data Analysis, Business Analysis, Data Science. That has helped me transition into a new phase. I’m in grad school now.
