“I grew up in Siberia (it’s much colder than Nebraska!!!) where I majored in Ancient Roman History at the University. Makes sense, right?
I never learned to bike (I was afraid to fall), but I had no problem skydiving.”
“I’m decidedly unsentimental, but the Great American Songbook (jazz standards and show tunes/songs, 1920-1950) truly moves me. Basically, I love the same music your grandparents (or great-grandparents) listened to.”
“Read more, better, faster and remember all that I read.”
“I don’t know if I’ve ever received any earth-shattering advice, but I definitely learned a lot by trying, failing, falling and getting up again. One thing that’s my mantra is that when things get tough, you must keep trying. Not just because it’s a numbers’ game, but because only then you can respect yourself. Eventually, things work out. And if they don’t, there must have been a reason for it. What doesn’t break you makes you stronger sounds true to me.
