Meet Mark

Custodian

Mark is a skilled handyman with a knack for outside-the-box problem solving.

He is always willing to lend a hand, and he takes pride in keeping things running smoothly. A believer in the power of hard work, Mark brings a thoughtful and dedicated approach to everything he does. He’s also a big fan of classic rock music – especially the Grateful Dead.

What’s a fun or interesting fact about you that most people wouldn’t guess?

“I was born here in Lincoln, and lived here most of my life. I spent many years traveling the US, seeing the Grateful Dead among other bands.”

What’s a book, movie, or song that inspires you and why?

“A documentary about a 16 year old boy who sailed around the world all by himself. It was an amazing feat. He almost gave up but didn’t and it all worked out.”

If you could instantly master any skill, what would it be and how would you use it?

“Communication. I often feel I don’t get what I’m thinking across to people in an effective way.”

When faced with hard times, what was the best advice you received or the biggest lessons you learned?

“Always believe in yourself and never give up. Nothing worthwhile ever comes easy.”
